Sadio Mane was rewarded for his incredible performances from last season. Thus, the Senegalese won the title of “The best African footballer of the year 2019”, ahead of his teammate, Mohamed Salah.
Mohamed Salah was the winner of the last two such titles. Mane got 477 votes, while Salah received only 325. The podium was completed by Manchester City player Riyad Mahrez, who collected a total of 267 votes.
