David Neres extends contract with Ajax

Brazilian attacker David Neres will stay with Ajax until June 2o13, this was after a few months of signing a one-year contract, after UEFA Champions League.

It worth mentioning, the 22-year-old international player who helped his country to win Copa América last July, has made a lot of great clubs interested in him, primarily Manchester United.

However, and despite the tempting offers by big European clubs, Neres showed a loyalty to Erik ten Hag through signing a new contract after most of highlight players left the club, next to a wonderful season in which the players performed, particularly in UEFA Champions League.

After Ajax was out of UEFA Champions League in semifinal against Tottenham, Frenkie de Jong joined Barcelona, and Matthijs de Ligt transferred to Juventus.    

Neres scored 29 goals during 101 games he played with Ajax; it took the second place for two times before win it in 2018 -2019.

He signed the previous contract in September 2018, but had gave the club a promise to extended for another year.
